There is obviously a lot of concern in our industry in regards to Aluminium Composite Material (ACM) panels following the Grenfell Tower fire. Currently there is a number of opinions as to whether this material needs to be removed and replaced with non-combustible components.
Some of our clients have opted to ensure the fire breaks and compartmentalisation is in place to reduce any likely spread of fire. Some however, have chosen to replace on a like for like basis with a fire rated non-combustible material.
“The vast percentage are choosing to change the panels in their entirety for an Aluminium flat panel located to the existing supporting system.”
JPW Osprey Limited are currently working as a principal contractor with a number of industry leaders on planning and remediation together with project procurement to alleviate the industry concerns.
